Cllr. Dr Mike Jackson for East Yorkshire

Mike Jackson

for 2010

Mike Jackson is  a Parish Councillor for Nafferton, near Driffield.

"My focus will be dealing with Climate Change as I believe that we are literally risking the future of life on Earth if we do not drastically cut our emissions.

"However by doing so we can bring many benefits to the people of East Yorkshire. For example farmers could be paid for low carbon farming, sequestering CO2 etc.

"Better Internet access speeds would support home working and quality of life and cut transport emissions as would rebuilding local NHS services. Free insulation would cut your fuel bills.

"The current politicians are all as bad as each other as shown by the expenses scandal.

"Let's face it we couldn't do much worse - so all we are saying is "Give Greens a chance!"
