Gareth Roberts for Sheffield Heeley

Gareth Roberts - for a Fair Deal for local people

Gareth is 33, married and lives in Meersbrook, Sheffield. He works as a self-employed community organiser and lecturer at the Sheffield Hallam University. Over the past 10 years he has built a reputation for successfully organising events & festivals, setting up community projects and supporting the self employed. Gareth campaigns for:

• community facilities for sports & outdoor play
• after-school and weekend services for young people
• support for local enterprise and self-employment

Gareth is committed to changing the political system. He understands that many people - particularly young people - do not trust politicians, have no faith in the electoral system and feel powerless to make change happen in their communities.

Gareth says: "The Green Party is committed to a Fair Deal for local people. Everyone should be able to take part in the decisions that change our lives. Your voices should be listened to and fairly represented by people you can trust."
